This fashion show will be held in Soi Thong Lor at the Bangkok campus of the Institute on March 24 at 18.00 hrs.
The show will present the designs created for the international fashion contest organized by Triumph International, world leader in lingerie. The Accademia Italiana will represent Thailand in this project and the best designs will be selected to be shown in Milan, Italy. In the meantime, after the March 24 show the students’ creations will fly off to Italy to be launched in Europe. These designs, proposed by the Thai students, will, in fact, be featured during the year-end events in Florence organized by the Italian headquarters of the school. Special guest of the evening will be the internationally famous fashion designer Carla Fendi who will see the show together with 2000 invited guests from the world of fashion and design.
Vincenzo Giubba, President of the Accademia Italiana declared: “With this event the Accademia Italiana of Bangkok takes its first steps toward the international marketplace. It is interesting to see how such young students can interpret fashion trends in synthesis with the industry. In Thailand there is a rich tank of new ideas that, if directed in the right way can provide a huge national resource for the development of the Thai economy.
Miss Jewana Kim Lee is the winner of the Triumph International competition.
The Accademia Italiana – Bangkok offers 3-year bachelor’s degree programs in Fashion Design, Interior and Product Design and Graphic Design and Visual Communications.
