From January 19 to 21 a series of Workshops was held on the theme: “Design and New Creativity in a Globalized World”, featuring numerous designers coming from Italy and Europe. Among those speaking were:
Mr. Vincenzo Giubba: Architect and Designer. Founder and President of the Accademia Italiana. Expert in design and visual arts.
Gianni Quaranta: Oscar (Academy Award) winner for the film “A Room with a View”. He is among the most famous set and production designers internationally, and is currently academic director of the Accademia Italiana in Rome.
Kevin Oakes: famous choreographer. He has directed fashion shows for many great fashion names including Versace, Cerruti, Calvin Klein, De Beers, etc. He has collaborated with the Accademia Italiana for more than twenty years.
Lucio Antonucci: Fashion designer. He has collaborated with important companies in the textile and yarn industries (Overfil, Sarti, Tempesti and many others). Assistant head of the fashion design department at the Accademia Italiana in Florence.
Paothong Thongchuea: formerly dean of the Faculty of Fine Arts of Thamassat University, designer of textiles, fashion and costume designer. He is currently headmaster of the Accademia Italiana Thailand.
Francesco Cappuccio: Architect and product designer. After an intense career in Italy dedicated to lighting design and product design he moved to Thailand w here he continues with his design profession (designing collections for “Artitude” and others). Currently head of the Interior, Product and Graphic design department at the Accademia Italiana, Thailand.
