When did you realize you wanted to be a fashion designer?
Pri: This year, around January when I started to feel confident about my work
What convinced you to apply at the Accademia Italiana?
Pri: At the beginning, I had no idea what I wanted to do, after an important discussion with one of my mother’s friend that used to study at AI as Interior Design department, she suggested me to take a look at this school. After my visit and talk with the director, I was really charmed by the program and impress on how diverse door the school could open for you.
What do you think about the school, its program and the lecturers?
Pri: To be honest, I think I would love to have more subjects! More seriously, the program really makes you grow up and changes the way you look at things but if the student don’t put themselves out there, it would be hard for them to finish the year. I remember my class full at the beginning and now only 7 of us left!
You were the winner of our collaboration with f fashion and fashiontv. What was the prize?
Pri: The Price was 60 000 baths and you’ve got a 3 months internship at F.Fashion brand to reproduced your own collection, the good part is that there really promoting you as a young Design with your name and everything. It is a really amazing price!
Were you expecting to win?
Pri: No, but I pray every night?
Explain the process of creating your capsule collection for F fashion.
Pri: It is really simple, it’s like trying to flirt with a guy, you have to convince that your collection will sale to the F.Fashionteam. After the flirting, you have to prepare the second date which means you have to do some changes to your collection for example the fabric or some cuts details to make it look more affordable and wearable, after it is mystery you’ve got 50% chance that the guy will like you or not, it is the same with customers, it is quite scary actually.
What are your expectations for the future?
Pri: I guess there are too many expectations but starting my own label so I can express my philosophy is one among them.
Which is your favorite aspect of the program that you are studying?
Pri: My favorite aspect of the program is that there are some subject that you wouldn’t think you will be interested in but you ended up really enjoying them, for examples sewing technics or fashion marketing for me.
Do you have any suggestions or advise for future AI students?
Pri: If you never try you will never know!
